I – THE TREND: TRANSITION IN PACKAGING
The health crisis of 2020 put on hold all the trade fairs that used to enable us all to find out about new market trends, opportunities and the latest innovations. Today, the CGP Coating Innovation group is delighted to have been able to resume its activity by taking part in the FACHPACK trade fair in Nuremberg from 27 to 29 September 2022. A European trade fair dedicated to packaging, technology and converting.
Slip-sheet ECOLOGISTIK®
The event was a great success. In particular, the new German sales team presented and discussed the various CGP solutions that help to cut costs by optimising storage and transport operations and the management of consumables, while at the same time reducing plastic waste . The 3-day event provided a wealth of information, and the many visitors showed a keen interest in the solutions on offer.
This year, the theme of the FACHPACK 2022 trade show was dedicated to the transition in packaging, for all manufacturers wishing to involve their packaging in their CSR policy. COVID 19 and the war in Ukraine have put the spotlight on the circular economy and more environmentally-friendly consumption. This is a powerful trend that affects us all on a daily basis.
II – ECONOMIC AND ECOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS
As part of an initiative to reduce packaging, we propose first of all to avoid over-packaging by eliminating all the superfluous packaging, the overqualification of compositions and by encouraging theuse of products thinner based on recycled and by replacing the use of plastic wherever this is possible .
During the show, CGP Coating Innovation highlighted three solutions that enable you to use your transport packaging to help achieve your CSR objectives.

Its unique non-slip coating gives it a sliding angle of over 45°, guaranteeing excellent stability for your products.
2 – SLIP-SHEET ECOLOGISTIK®, A PALLET-FREE SHIPPING CONCEPT
Pallet-free shipping: ECOLOGISTIK® slip-sheet
The ECOLOGISTIK® slip-sheet is a sheet of recyclable Kraft liner, developed to replace the wooden pallet and replace pallets during the loading and unloading of export containers. With the slip-sheet ECOLOGISTIK®, you eliminate pallets and optimize your operations of storage, transport, management of consumables.
3 – STABUSTRAP® ELASTIC PALLETISING BAND
Elastic palletising band: STABUSTRAP®
Stabustrap an elastic palletising band designed to reduce your use of stretch film in your intralogistics flows. STABUSTRAP® is a genuine ecological and economical alternative to stretch film. It’s easy to use, as the tape can be applied manually to any type of parcel in just 5 seconds, without the need for any additional equipment:
- ECONOMICAL: 3 times less expensive than stretch film for the same application.
- ECOLOGICAL: This stretch tape is totally recyclable and helps to reduce the weight of packaging because of the small quantity required (8 grams compared with around 250g to 400g for stretch film).
- FAST : It can be applied in 5 seconds, unlike stretch film (which takes several minutes).
- PERFORMANCE: A few grams hold packages together for up to 1 tonne.
III – CO-CONSTRUCTION FOR NEW PACKAGING SOLUTIONS
Visitors were looking for solutions to keep up with the major trends of the moment. Our experts on the stand were able to support visitors in the co-construction of stabilisation solutions that would enable the implementation of new, more economical and environmentally-friendly packaging.
